A poem for the day, from my upcoming book "The Golden Road." Porous Resolve: to be the sponge, ever absorbing truth; porous, filter of falsehood and contaminated thoughts. For, faith truly is the rushing river of life, and not the bowl of stagnant water left out in the driveway, an abused and misused object, meant to hold a morning bowl of cereal for the child, or even oatmeal for a child-like, old age. Under the surface of the sea, ever content to be unseen—lies the sponge.
