Programming is primarily in C# but supported by JavaScript where needed. Works under minimal direction with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Reports to the Software Engineering Manager. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develops, codes, tests, maintains and troubleshoots new and existing software. Participates in the formation of project goals, scope and schedules as well as report writing, planning and scheduling. Performs detailed software code reviews with other .NET software developers. Provides application technical support. Serves as a technical resource for other development staff and business community members. Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS___________________________________________________________ Experience and Education A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent. Experience and education may be substituted for one another. At least two years of C# programming experience is required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge in conceptual and practical understanding of the Microsoft .Net (3.0 - 4.0) framework. Knowledge understanding C# coding language. Knowledge with reading and understanding the SQL server relational database designs and diagrams. Knowledge in understanding some or all the following technologies or frameworks: - MVVM and/or MVC (preferred) - RAD tools (LightSwitch (HTML5 or SilverLight), Ironspeed or equivalent) - Basic Transact-SQL, MS LINQ, Entity Framework and ADO - Reports on SSRS - Web Services and/or WCF - Windows Services, Window Forms and ActiveX/COM (all in C#). - Asp.net and AJAX (MVC) - XHTML/ CSS/ XML/ XSLT/ XPATH /AJAX/ HTML5 / JavaScript - Silverlight 4/5, WPF and XAML - TFS and Visual Studio 2010/2012 - Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 - TCP/IP and networking - DotNetNuke, SharePoint and IIS 7.5 - Telerik controls. Skill in strong interpersonal and written communication. Ability to provide an exceptional work ethic, a passion for technology and desire to succeed. Ability to think critically and problem solve.
