A prayer please... 3years ago when Branden was diagnosed with SMA ( spinal muscular atrophy) , my husband and I were told there is a girl in Malaysia who.is in her teens now ,who can insipre us. With Gods will and a post in FB, we manage to track her mum, and I contacted her. I must say she has not.only inspire us but gave us hope. We cant thank her enough for her kind and encouraging words. Ms A has been homeschooled since young. She has done extremely well in her studies with her hardwork and determination. In September she will be reading law in Cambridge University. She has proven that her disabilities do not stop her from achieving her dreams. However, due to SMA she has hip dislocation and sublaxation , which causes pain , very painful to sit too long. She will be travelling to London by MAS in the economy class. I cannot imagine how much pain she has to bear sitting in the plane for 13hours. I suggested to her to upgrade to business class as she can lie down after 2hours sitting. However due to.financial constraint she cant afford to be upgraded to biz class. She has also written to MAS to ask for a favour but her request was rejected. It is sad to read that a Masterchef and her family was upgraded to business class without any physical challenges. We understand MAS is going thru a difficult time now and they have their reasons for rejecting her request. Hence, i am praying for her to meet someone nice enough when she checks in at the MAs counter with her parents ,for her to be offered an upgrade to business class. I also ask for everyone reading this to do the same,if you can..i hope she can travel comfortably in her journey to pursue her dream and to make Malaysia proud. After all how.many Malaysians can read law in Cambridge , with physical challenges and sheer determination to live life to the best she can , a disease that rob her of her mobility but not her strong will to live. Thank you.
