A problem remains a wahala till a solution or solutions are applied. No matter the form it takes- be it monetary, emotional, political, professional, spiritual or otherwise. The case of getting a life partner; be it husband or wife is not a simple matter, but at the same time easy for those who understand. In my case, it is about appreciating honesty and diligence. As an undergarduate at University of Nigeria, Nsukka, I had two special fellas: the first was a burning enigma that would let her charisma overtake her sense of reasoning. She would later depart Nsukka campus for Enugu to conquer the Law studies and today she is a proven lawyer of merit, yet unmarried. The second was an intelligent lass that was smart enough to take full advantage of my company to credit flying colours from the same department- History and International Studies. Today, she is a rich banker but unmarried. Bringing the recent past to bear, another two are noteworthy: one just graduated a top class anatomist from University of Port Harcourt, the other a 4th year Nursing student at Imo State University. Now, the latter damsel is a crushing experience. She was the one I invested virtually my all from early 2008 upto July, 2013. A project I took up from her pre-degree time to her controversial disappearance. Her experience is disturbing for she was one that I stood for against all odds to make my wife from my lean resources. She was the one I took the bold step to initiate marriage introductory rites in January, 2013 but had to disappear in July for I had no kobo left as I unceremoniously left my place of work due to inhumane bossy prangs of my boss. Her case I have handed over to Chineke for it is filled with ingratitude, betrayal, wickedness among the lot. I do not have the naira millions now, nor do I have a secured job either, but I am hopeful of a break as I persevere in the heavy equipment leasing and sales. As my father would query my relationship with my runaway bride: why invest time and money in putting a lady through school while there a whole lot of women out there with their money looking for whom to have as a husband? That message however has become clearer to me these days, though I still stand my ground of committing no evil by loving and assisting a damsel through school. Now, the situation I face is realising that rare and unique message of my dad. I have explained my matter to concerned ears of both genders, but havent yet found that husband-needed lady. It doesnt make me lazy but more energised to survive. In addition, I have sold my intentions on different groups on facebook and other platforms of social media but still cannot find that qualified courageous woman ready to take me on. Some that heard my story are afraid to take the challenge, some see me as a lazy fellow, some see me as a trckster abi fraudster, some say I am a fool while some have other views best known to them. No matter their assessments, I am a 33 year old intelligent, humble and diligent man and remain waiting for any concerned 28-32 year old unmarried marriage-ready, working class lady preferably of any tribe resident in Port Harcourt to inform me of her conscious intention.
