A puzzle.... A giant wood cut zig saw puzzle. With edges that only slightly fit. If you work fast and run your finger down a side, you might get a splinter. Leave that sucker in and it will eventually fester into an infection of wood and puss and all that creepy stuff our bodies do in the process of healing. A puzzle. A giant 1000 piece image of sand. Millions of pieces of sand and not a single shell to help you piece it all together. Your only hope is finding all the edge pieces and then trying all the 950 other pieces one at a time. With a wing and prayer you might eventually find something that fits. A puzzle. A six piece toddler puzzle of barnyard animals. Only you have the dexterity of a two year old and cant quite figure out why the cute feathered bird wont fit in the outline of a four legged equine. No matter how much you push; a bird will never be a horse and your puzzle wont come together until youre four years old or forty. A puzzle. A life of fractured pieces all needing to connect to ever become whole. A day to day being of fitting and turning and hoping the next piece will be the right fit. It can be beyond frustrating trying to put together a perfect picture without all the pieces you need. A puzzle. It is all one great big puzzle and no matter how hard you want to finish it, maybe its better left undone.... What use is a complete puzzle anyway? Yeah... you can slap some glue on it and frame it for your wall, but who does that? The only other choice is to take it all apart and put it back in the box. Why spend your days rushing to put together something that will end up back in the box anyway? A puzzle. Life is a puzzle. An epic, never ending puzzle. Stop fighting so hard to put it together so perfectly. Enjoy the empty spaces and fill it slowly... Just one piece at a time. Enjoy that one piece, finding comfort in how perfect it fits.... Not focusing on all of the empty holes. Dont work so hard to put your puzzle together as fast as you can. You dont want your lifes work to end up in a box. A puzzle................ is more fun when youre putting it together, than when it is actually done
