A question for the masses.... Our squad is county run. Our county commissioners made a few decisions and one I do not agree with. ***Our trucks are NOT to be used to pick up any medical supplies/drug refills from the hospital. We are to use our own personal vehicles to do that chore.*** I am interested in knowing everyones view on this issue. Does your squad have a similar rule? I can see where personal auto insurance would come into play in this in case of an accident. If an accident were to happen and we were not at fault, it would be nice if the county would cover our deductible. Mileage reimbursement has not been mentioned but it can be included on our yearly tax filing. Our trucks are not even allowed to leave the station unless there is an emergency call. Not even the suburban to pool everyone together for training or classes. Thoughts? Ideas?
