A question from one of our page fans, can anyone help him out? Dave Woods: Ive just recently moved to Bella Vista, and am having problems with my 1986 Yamaha Venture Royale. I now remember why I havent had a motorcycle in more than 10 years! I cant afford a NEW bike, and I can never seem to find anyone who will work on bikes older than 8 or 10 years old! I think its a simple problem with the fuel filter getting/being plugged up. But, Im not a motorcycle mechanic, and cant figure out how to get the filter out to check it! I downloaded a factory service manual last night. But, it only makes one reference to the fuel filter. And there, it only says to inspect/remove it. But, it doesnt say HOW to remove it! Can someone recommend a mechanic who can help me out with this, and/or do further diagnostics/repairs periodically?!
