A question from our inbox: I could really use some support. I have asked questions on here before but today I had to face some of my fears and stand up for myself. My fiance has been my rock through out this whole pregnancy, but today was the first appointment he couldnt make it to. I went today to get an ultrasound, I am 36 weeks and baby has been breech, we all thought she flipped about 2 weeks ago but today the ultrasound tech confirmed she was still breech. Then she checked my fluids and said they were low, but then found more fluid behind babys head. When I seen the doctor he said oh no baby is still breech, he continued to say that because of my previous c-section they could not do a version. I called him on that one and said the ACOG states that a women with a previous c-section can attempt a version, he responded with Im old school, and none of the doctors here will risk it, so you will need to schedule a c-section for 38-39 weeks. He also told me that baby was too big (they said she is 6 pounds right now, and I have not gained any weight since my last ultrasound). I told him that baby could flip at any time including during labor, so I was not going to schedule a c-section, and that I wanted to attempt my natural birth whether she was breech or not. He told me that what I was asking was too dangerous and none of the doctors there would touch me so I would have to find a new care provider. I felt so alone and bullied sitting there. I knew this was a possibility, and my fiance and I had talked about what we would do if something like this did happen, but when I got to my car I just cried, I feel discouraged and scared. I still have an appointment with them for next week because I have 30 days to find a new provider, but I dont even want to go back. I am now looking for a VBAC friendly, Breech friendly doctor in the Indianapolis, Indiana area, I dont care if I have to drive an hour or not. I also see a chiropractor and use spinning babies exercises to help her turn but I had slowed down on both because we thought she had flipped. #ICANSupport
