A question to ask those who do not believe water baptism is - TopicsExpress

A question to ask those who do not believe water baptism is essential to salvation is this...if the Apostle Paul was saved only after just confessing Jesus as Lord on the Road to Damascus (Acts 9:5-6), how is it that 3 days later when Ananias came to him he told him to Arise, and be baptized, and WASH AWAY THY SINS, calling on the name of the Lord. (Acts 22:16). How could Paul have been saved prior to his baptism if he still had to wash away his sins 3 days later at his baptism. The answer is simple...because Paul was not saved on the road to Damascus. It was not until Ananias came and told him what to do that he was saved. Water baptism is for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38), it washes away your sins (Acts 22:16), buries you with Christ (Romans 6:4) and baptism saves you (Mark 16:16; 1 Peter 3:21). Anyone who teaches that water baptism is not essential to salvation is a liar and is ignoring the plain teaching of Scripture in favour of their denominations particular teaching. Throughout church history, water baptism has always been viewed as being essential to salvation and the idea that it is not essential is a recent ideology. Dont be deceived by false religion and philosophies of men. You cannot be saved without water baptism.
