A question to experts: Chennai has a good, uniform coastline... From Ennore that streches even till Pondicherry... We have buses connecting Ennore and Tiruvanmyur even though both lie on seashore... Is is possible to have a motorboat or Ferri-type transport system at least from Harbour to Tiruvanmyur...? That will help reduce traffic on road. Of course, it would be a slow mode of transport, still a beautiful one and will help split the crowd... Why is it not done? Are there any practical, technical difficulties? A question to experts. Please clarify if anyone knows.
