A radio station called me this morning and quoted from the Insight - TopicsExpress

A radio station called me this morning and quoted from the Insight Newspaper that i have stated that if the NPP does not get two million votes the NPP can not win the elections. Before I comment on it let me say exactly what i said. I was responding to a statement made by President Mahama during his recent visit to Ashanti Region. He said the NDC was targetting one million votes in Ashanti Region come 2016. My response was, as he was targetting one million votes in Ashanti Region, the NPP was also targetting almost two million votes in the Volta Region. Indeed Volta Region does not have two million voters yet. But it is the expectation that it will reach two million by 2016. Second, given the wild embellishment by the Insight Newspaper, then they should also say that President Mahama has said if the NDC does not get one million votes it means the NDC will not win the elections. My other comment is that these embellishment by these so called Journalists are dangerous and must be confronted head on. In the past when they read or said these things, I usually did not respond. But i have realized a lot of Ghanaians are so gullible that they swallow in whole these stupid stories without digestion. Indeed , i have heard people that I considered intelligent use some of these bogus stories in their presentations and arguments. I have never bought the Insight Newspaper. I hardly read it. But if this is the kind of stuff that it churns out then I have not missed anything. I stopped reading a lot of our Ghanaian papers a long time ago. I know i have not missed a lot since. Folks, just like the other stories about me, treat it with the disdain it deserves. Better still, if you run out of toilet tissue, it could be a substitute.
