A rare American Bandstand appearance by my all time favorite band. Drummer Doug Clifford is the king of the snare drum roll and Stu Cooks bass slides through the songs like a Rattlesnake.John Fogarty is an American rock and roll poet and his rockabilly influenced guitar work is a study in playing exactly whats appropriate, nothing more or nothing less. John Fogarty is active today touring and writing new matierial and Cook and Clifford play all the old hits In Creedence Clearwater Revisited. They actually reformed to play a set under a assumed name at their 25th high school reunion in the early 80s. However relations are so strained now that Fogarty refused to play with them when CCR was inducted at the Rock and Roll Hall of fame ceromony. When Im trying to finish a song Im writing and stuck, I always ask myself,What would John Fogarty do here? I always seem to come out with something usable! lol.Thank You John Fogarty and Creedence Cleawater Revival.For the rest of my days ,when Im down and I hear Lodi Ill turn it up. And the world will make sense for about 3 minutes.
