A rare stereo effort today: or rather, in Tim The Elders parlance as a veteran of many a Wishbone Ash gig, a twin guitar attack, with Sarah very much on lead and yours truly filling in with occasional rhythm work when it was necessary to depart from vinyl-sorting duties to keep the stampface queue moving. Not sure I managed to restock the racks with as many albums as had left the Vault since my last mono broadcast on Christmas Eve, but I did what I could and there is still plenty of vinyl behind the counter that is worthy of public viewing when I next get the chance to fill those racks further. Amongst new platters entering the Vaults racks today was a very nice copy of Kate Bushs 93 Red Shoes opus, play-tested by the not-so-secret Kate fan Sarah during my absence. Not much vinyl was being pressed by 93, so this one is quite hard to find. It was accompanied by an equally fine copy of Kates 89 opus, The Sensual World. Albums Linn-tested today were: The Band (self-titled, Capitol 1969, featuring the unlikely smash Rag Mama Rag); Green River (featuring the awesome Bad Moon Rising) by the swamp-tastic Creedence Clearwater Revival (Liberty, 1969); Kiln House by Fleetwood Mac (Reprise, 1970); The Byrds Greatest Hits Vol II (CBS); 1971 United Artists double sampler All Good Clean Fun; Lou Reeds Rock & Roll Heart (Arista 1976) & Transformer (RCA 1972); Pink Floyds Animals (Harvest 1977); Maria Muldaurs Sweet Harmony (US Reprise). Got them back-to-work blues? Heres how to kick em into touch: https://youtube/watch?v=5BmEGm-mraE
