A reader from Kashmir shares his pain: A human being among us,a kashmiri,a teacher,a lone bread winner of the family was killed by some unknown gunmen becoz his only fault was that he was doing his (poll)duty. Not only this, over it the custodians of movement-and the flag bearers of Azadi who otherwise never feel tired of sloganeering and strikes which has become somewhat a hobby for them consciously prefered to remain dumb silent over the killing perhaps in approval. Those who otherwise never feel hesitant to accuse and protest against the state and indian forces of using brutal agression, violence and killings have this time prefered to zip their lips. Why is there no words of condemnation when an innocent kashmiri like others who happened to be a govt employee on poll duty is killed by unknown gunmen...why dont you feel any grief for him? Is it becoz that he was killed by the wrong people at the wrong place on wrong time... why do they keep a selective approach on the killings when the victims either way are innocent kashmiris...why do they forget that a crime is always a crime no matter who the perpetrators are, state or non state actors. There can be no categorization of violence and deaths. There can be no good or bad about the bloodshed and intimidation.you have no right to take someones life in the name of one thing or the other. There can be no double standards, not at all. This brazen game of hypocrisy and hoodwink is disastrous and despicable.History will never forgive you.
