A recent poll in the Daily Mirror has revealed that twice as many Manchester United fans blame previous manager Sir Alex Ferguson for the clubs downfall, rather than David Moyes. Only 17 per cent of those taking part in the poll blamed Moyes for the clubs woes, whereas a staggering 40 per cent blamed his predecessor. It is no secret that Fergie hand-picked Moyes to take over after his resignation, but not even he could have predicted how badly his decision would affect the club. Results of the poll also show that 32 per cent of the fans blame the Glazers - not David Moyes - for their teams poor performances which see them on the verge of a Champions League exit and wallowing in 7th place in the league. Surprisingly, only 4 per cent of fans actually blame the players, despite the abysmal performances we have seen in recent weeks, with many of the big names at the club failing to play to the best of their ability so far this season.
