A rough edit of Peter Capaldis first full episode as the Doctor is - TopicsExpress

A rough edit of Peter Capaldis first full episode as the Doctor is being traded on pirate websites six weeks ahead of its scheduled transmission date. RadioTimes has seen the black and white footage branded with BBC Worldwide watermarks. Numerous visual effects shots are missing and it uses a placeholder title sequence from Matt Smiths last series. Nevertheless, it appears to be Peter Capaldis first episode in its entirety, available online long before it is due to be broadcast on 23rd August on BBC1. The episode surfaced through the same security lapse that emerged on Monday, where five Doctor Who scripts, as well as dozens of other scripts and documents, appeared in public Google searches despite being stored on BBC Worldwide servers. Six Doctor Who video files were listed on this server, and while at the time of writing only the first episode has surfaced online, there appears every chance further videos could still emerge. The incident is oddly similar to the 2005 leak of Rose, the first episode of the new Doctor Who era starring Christopher Eccleston, which appeared online around 20 days before broadcast. In that case, the leak was tracked to a Canadian third party. Commenting on the latest revelations, a BBC Worldwide spokesperson told RadioTimes: This is part of BBC Worldwides ongoing security investigation into leaked unfinished Doctor Who materials. This content is currently being removed and originates from the same Miami server disabled last week, it is not a new issue. Wed like to thank the amazing Doctor Who fans who are continuing to keep fansites and social media spoiler-free. radiotimes/news/2014-07-12/peter-capaldis-first-doctor-who-episode-leaks-online-6-weeks-ahead-of-broadcast
