A sad occasion lets me take the story wherever it might lead, from Plantus cartoonization of revolutionary Delacroixs Liberty Leading the People to the former military intel guy who turns me on to the German Satirist, Kurt Tucholsky poignant reminder that The death of one man is a tragedy. The death of millions is a statistic. He winds up working for the most unlikely (at least in my mind) of government agencies. Then enter the Freemasons, who claim the slain cartoonists as their own, they seem open, in a creepy sort of way. The film ends with me trying out my secret Masonic handshake.
