Mitch, 99th Infantry Division, US Army. The untested 99th Infantry was put into a quiet zone for their first assignment, the Ardennes forest, winter, 1944. I wish I could have talked to him about that terrible ordeal, the Battle of the Bulge. My uncles, Earnest Pohl and Bill Leasure, US Army WWII.
