A secretary, along with her colleagues, has been retrenched. She picks herself up to open a bakery, and even trains her former colleagues and offers them jobs. Sounds inspiring? This is one of five mini-stories told in the new short film Hands, which aims to pay tribute to everyday Singaporeans who have done their part for the nation. Commissioned by Nexus to commemorate 30th anniversary of Total Defence, the film is inspired by real stories of Singaporeans. The film director, Mr Meng Ong, hopes to inspire Singaporeans from all walks of life to do more because no matter who you are, you can play your part. Watch it now mindef.sg/LCBSR7!
