A seminar on “The objectives of Making of Pakistan” was held at Gujrat Public School (GPS) karrianwala A seminar on “The objectives of Making of Pakistan” was held at Gujrat Public School (GPS) karrianwala in which Director Media UOG, Sheikh Abdul Rashid was the Chief Guest while the Director GPS, Eng. Naeem Shahbaz hosted this seminar. Among the other speakers were include the educationist Miss Sameen Shafaqat, the Principal Govt Inter College Karrianwala Hafiz Abdul Razzaq, the financial expert Mr Arif Razzaq Butt, Dr Shamshad Ahmed Shaheen Principal GPS, MS Sumera Kausar and the coordinator of the Seminar Dr Iman Malik. The main objective behind this seminar was to educate the young students about the reasons behind the demand of Pakistan and communicate awareness among the new generation about importance of Pakistan as a country. Sheikh Abdul Rashid in his keynote address said that Pakistan was not the production of a movement only but it was an outcome of the continuity of history. He said that the concept of Pakistan was not a momentary slogan but it had taken its final shape through many steps. He said that the emergence of Pakistan was formation of a cultural consciousness and according to history , the establishment of Pakistan was essential at that particular moment. He further told that the continuity of history produced and honed the self-respect of the Muslims at that time, but the secondary factor behind this demand was a new concept of self-Government created by those superpowers who defeated Germany in the First World War. He was of the view that the Quaid-e-Azam, truly aware about those facts, according to his vision, tried to gather the Muslims of the subcontinent in the perspective of their rights preservation and in this way, the demand of Pakistan became a universal truth. He further said that Pakistan was achieved through a democratic struggle and the students and teachers were the vanguards of the Pakistan movement. He hoped that the students and teachers could play an important role for stability, security and prosperity of Pakistan. Eng. Naeem Shahbaz said that GPS would become a centre of Patriotism and character building. Principal GPS Miss Sumera Kausar said that our educational institutions should become training centres like that of the Muslims University, Aligarh for making Pakistan more stable and secure ideologically. Mr.Sameen Shafaqat said that our ancestors had to pay heavy price for Pakistan in the form of human sacrifies. She said that we should try our best for making Pakistan better and powerful. Hafiz Abdul Razzaq said that Pakistan was the revival of Islamic State and we should perform for ideological and practical defence of Pakistan. Dr Shamshad Ahmad Shaheen said that Pakistan was established according to the hopeful wishes of the Muslims of India and it had become our duty to make Pakistan according to their wishes. Mr Atif Razzaq Butt was hopeful that the younger generation of students would become visionary leaders of Pakistan. He said that Pakistan was the dream of our ancestors . Dr Imran Malik said that GPS had become a platform for discussion on national issues. He suggested to rebuild Pakistan according to the true spirit of patriotism for achieving the objective of Pakistan.
