A single woman sits down and begins to pray about her life to be successful and prosperous. She asks for a nice house and a great car… she also asks for a great job and a great man. Quoting scriptures and claiming she is stepping out in faith and believing God will answer her prayers. So a few months go by and the job she wanted came along and she was praising God and falling on her face and thanking Him for making a way. She was so excited that she immediately went after the house she wanted. The car followed and now she said, “God all I need is that great man to complete everything I need.” If she only had known what she was praying for…. A man came along and he appeared to be what she was looking for, but something was odd about him, it was like he was off in some way. No matter what she asked God saying, “God I don’t know if this is the one, but he will do.” The man came up to her and he really had it together. He had his own business, home and did not live with his mama. Still something was bugging her. Finally the two got together and were dating pretty heavily and in the beginning they spent a lot of time together, but things changed and he was spending time with her, but not as much as in the beginning. She did everything in her mind to convince herself that he was not cheating, but that inner instinct within her lead to believe otherwise. What’s worse the dream job started to become a nightmare, everything was going wrong and they were talking about downsizing and maybe even closing the company. They cut back on business expenses and gave everybody longer lunches. She tried to find another job but nobody was hiring. The car and the house went and she had to move in with her man. Even being in the house she still could not figure out who was getting his attention so deeply. Nothing indicated that there was another female…. Then she wondered what if it is another man. She thought to herself, “You know DL brothers are big these days.” So her mind was going crazy everything she had prayed for was falling apart and sh could not understand it. A voice said, “You have forgotten the glue that held everything together.” She turned around and saw her man standing there and he told her, “You asked God for everything you wanted and then took Him out of the picture once you got it all.” He continued saying, “I cannot take Him out of the picture and if you are to be my wife let’s make sure He is the Center of our lives.”
