A six minute excerpt from the 2011 film Samsara sent to me by two - TopicsExpress

A six minute excerpt from the 2011 film Samsara sent to me by two people today. Makes the argument, without a word, Koyaanisqatsi-style, that we humans have made ourselves obese via the same processes, technology, and brutal industrialization mentality applied to biology that is used in factories for chicken, dairy cows, beef cows, and, most visibly identical, to female pigs that are penned with metal pipes. To be clear: both the pigs and the obese people in this film look similar because they are similar. They are both the result of a very elaborate manufacturing process. Watch this, and then tell me that the 1.5 billion overweight humans and 234 million overweight Americans, are not ever bit manufactured products as the chicken breasts, hamburgers, bacon, and sausages they eat. This film makes the case for being a vegetarian on one level, though the comments also argue for different production methods.
