A special Monday post to inform our friends of a price change in donuts. We have installed a new register which will more accurately reflect the prices needed to be charged for particular varieties. Mostly cakes, lower price, mostly fancy and filled much more. Donut prices themselves will go up ten cents each and $1.00 Per dozen. Mes Mes will be aware of this by Tuesday, so our Bowling Green friends should expect these price changes as well. Hand made donuts have become very expensive to produce with the doubled cost of sugar, yeast, icing bases, cinnamon and flour. Not to mention the two people working all night. Thats 7-8 hours of payroll times 2 six days a week. There was a time when I could do it all myself, but, that was a long time ago. I understand why even the big chains are using factory made dough cuts and doing the thaw, proof and frying in less than half the time, with one person. Then maybe Id have the time to build the rest of the days business. I just cant bring myself to do it, so dont fret. Consider yourselves warned and Have A Daybreak Day!
