A story of Freedom. This morning, I spent a considerable amount of time, deep in conversation with someone who is totally connected into the changes that are happening on a global and for that matter, inter dimensional, intergalactic scale. I found our conversation much like two commanders comparing notes on the state of the universe. Yet it all boiled down to what we were feeling and experiencing within us that feels most free. A clear example of this universal story of ascension is told through the story of 12 Years a Slave. Its the story of a free man thrown into slavery and how he eventually worked his way out again. He didnt want to just survive but thrive. Once your mind and heart is open to a new way, there is no forgetting all that you know, no going back and allowing yourself to be treated less than who you truly are. Fighting against the old way results in the death of the heart and soul of who we are. The advice to the main character and to us is to be true to yourself and look for the opening to regain your freedom. Taking the example of something so grossly in our face and seared into our human experience, Ive been looking at this in nuances of my own life. Playing both the role of oppressor and oppressed, I have to ask myself: When I am judging someone as less than or not truly seeing them for who they are a soul having this human experience? When I am not feeling my most joyful, healthy, happy, prosperous? Where are the resistances within me (not matter how I have externalized my beliefs about myself) to being fully in the fullest flow of joy? foxsearchlight/12yearsaslave/?gclid=CLavt4X2uboCFfRlOgodTgIA3Q
