A sub-committee formed under the GMR&SC has been formed to address issues related to drag racing under the GMR&SC banner and also to improve on drag racing in Guyana. The committee consists of the following members: Rameez Mohammed (racer) Brian Ten Pow (mechanic / racer) Shawn Persaud (mechanic) Raymond Jones (tuner) Rohindra Mahase (motorsport photographer / GTRidez) The committee believes that it can improve on the current format of drag racing and also make it so that just about anyone can participate in drag races. However, in order for this to happen, it is important that the committee meets with drag racers to have discussions about the way forward. A meeting will be held at 6:30 pm on Friday 30th August 2013 at the GMR&SC Hall in Thomas Lands. All persons are encourage to attend whether it be the 1000 hp racers or persons wishing to drag race their road cars.
