A sweet little stray pup came into animal control on May 22. A boxer mix known as PH712. On May 29 I got a call from the ACO that she had started to show signs of illness. Against standard regulations, I asked the ACO to transfer her to a vet. The diagnosis was the one we all dread… PARVO. There were 2 options: the city would euthanize her, or she could be released under my care. Was that really a choice? Not in my book. I had hoped she would make a quick turn around since we had caught it early. This morning I received news I was not expecting. PH712 needed to be moved to another vet so she receive continued care. Frantic calls, mild panic attack… luckily I had some great friends on my side to help me figure it out. Jan, Kaylyn, Roberta… I cannot thank you enough. PH712, now known as Minnie, was transferred to Murphy Animal Hospital. They stayed open late to receive her and get her set up to fight for her life. I cannot express the gratitude I have for what they have done for her. PLEASE VISIT THEIR FB PAGE AND TELL THEM HOW MUCH YOU APPRECIATE THEIR WONDERFUL STAFF. I am not a rescue group… I am a volunteer. I work hard, I have a big heart, but honestly, this is above my head. I will do right by Minnie. I will do anything I can possibly do to save her life, but I need your help. Her care is going to be lengthy, and extensive. She is much sicker than anyone though. Together we can make a difference. Please help me fight for Minnie by donating to her care. Thank you, and much love to little Minnie XOXO youcaring/medical-fundraiser/parvo-puppy-minnie-fighting-for-her-life/185518
