A teaching on the thorn, a thorn in the flesh, a thorn of persecution, for the abundance of revelation knowledge one possesses in CHRIST JESUS! (2 Corinthians 12:6-10) For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he sees me to be, or that he heard of me. And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. For this thing I besought the Lord three times, that it might depart from me. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for you: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christs sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. People, can you even imagine GOD giving you a weakness in your flesh, because you possess the revelation knowledge of him in CHRIST JESUS? Can you imagine yourself seeking GOD with all your heart, mind, and soul, and GOD revealing himself to you in his word, and teaching you his word through the revelation knowledge of who JESUS is? Can you even admit your own weaknesses in life, so JESUS can tell you he is strong when you’re weak? People, I don’t know if it’s just me, but I would rather have a weakness that comes from knowing GOD through the revelation knowledge of JESUS CHRIST, then to just be a weak person! People, I am not a perfect man, I would like to be perfect, but how can I be perfect or even pretend to be perfect, when I know I am a four time felon, I know I been to penitentiary three times, I know I been to jail for murderer, I know I was a drug dealer, a gangster disciple, a whore monger, & a career criminal? But I also know the word of GOD, and I possess the revelation knowledge of GOD in CHRIST JESUS! People, I know exactly who I am in CHRIST JESUS, but I am constantly reminded of who I use to be in the world, & just because I know the revelation knowledge of GOD in CHRIST JESUS, that does not mean I am above failure, being weak or being tempted! People, don’t let religious self righteous folks deceive you into believing there is a place where you arrive in GOD that makes you above failure, being weak, being tempted, because if there was a place we could obtain perfection in life, then there would be no need for GOD to send a perfect JESUS to do for us what we could not do for ourselves! People, the more you know of GOD through the revelation knowledge of JESUS CHRIST, the more prone you are to attacks from the enemy, weaknesses, temptations, & persecutions, but your power is in the truth you know about JESUS & yourself! People, can you imagine or even conceive the thought that GOD would give you a weakness in your flesh, because of the abundance of revelation knowledge you have of him? Can you even imaging GOD giving you a weakness in your flesh so you won’t become conceited, high-minded, prideful, & arrogant, because you know so much about him? People, whether you can imagine it or not it happens, because GOD will reveal himself to you in such a way, if you seek him with your whole heart, mind, and soul! People, I personally believe when some of us obtain the revelation knowledge of GOD in CHRIST JESUS, then GOD has to allow some of us to have a thorn in our flesh, because knowledge puffs up, & knowledge causes people to be prideful sometimes! Just think about this, people get prideful, arrogant, conceited, & high-minded, just because they have an education in mans religion, theology, science, mathematics, philosophy, & man’s knowledge! People, if worldly knowledge will cause a man to get high minded and outside of his body, then the knowledge of GOD will have a man thinking he is GOD, if GOD did not remind him of his weaknesses, & that we can’t do nothing without him! (John 15:3-5) JESUS SAYS, Now you are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can you, except you abide in me. I am the vine, you are the branches: He that abides in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing. (2 Corinthians 12:1-10) It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord. I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knows;) such an one caught up to the third heaven. And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knows;) How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter. Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in mine weaknesses. People, you can have a beautiful relationship with GOD through JESUS CHRIST, even better than Paul had, if you seek after JESUS with your whole heart, mind, and, soul, that you might know GOD for yourself trough the revelation knowledge of JESUS CHRIST! Paul’s relationship with JESUS was so close that JESUS revealed himself to Paul by his faith, & Paul went further in his faith in JESUS CHRIST than the disciples that walked with CHRIST JESUS! Paul was so close to JESUS & knew so much about CHRIST JESUS, that JESUS himself gave Paul a weakness in his flesh, because he knew so much about him, so Paul would not become conceited, high minded, & prideful! But the beautiful thing about their relationship is that GOD did not tell us what Paul’s weakness was, & neither did he let Paul reveal to us what his weakness was either, Now that’s a real close friend! (Romans 7:14-25) For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwells in me. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwells no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwells in me. I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin. (Isaiah 30:20-21) And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not your teachers be removed into a corner any more, but your eyes shall see your teachers: And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, This is the way, walk you in it, when you turn to the right hand, and when you turn to the left. (Jeremiah 12:5-6) If you have run with the footmen, and they have wearied you, then how can you contend with horses? And if in the land of peace, wherein you trust in, they have wearied you, then how will you do in the swelling of Jordan? For even you brethren, and the house of your father, even they have dealt treacherously with you; yes, they have called a multitude after you: do not believe them, though they speak fair words unto you. People, I don’t know about you, but I would rather have a thorn in my flesh for the revelation knowledge of GOD I have in CHRIST JESUS, then to be destroyed for my lack of knowing JESUS!~ (Hosea 4:6) My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you, that you shall be no priest to me: seeing you have forgotten the law of your GOD, I will also forget your children. ~~ To view more lessons of faith visit my new YouTube Channel for video messages.
