A theory doesnt have to be valid to be true; like a person doesnt - TopicsExpress

A theory doesnt have to be valid to be true; like a person doesnt have to be good looking to be attractive. All validity means is that the argument for something is sound, but an arguments basis could be false. Lets say Joe is picking apples then let us say apples only grow in Brazil, the conclusion is Joe must be in Brazil. The argument for Joe being in Brazil is valid, but its untrue. The fact of the matter is that apples dont only grow in Brazil, and that just because something appears to be valid doesnt mean its actually true.
