A theory on wormhole creation So I have been over a thought - TopicsExpress

A theory on wormhole creation So I have been over a thought experiment on how one would go about creating a spatial aperture for FTL translocation. My concept was based on the recent experiments with quantum entanglement. First we start with a question: Are disturbances to a quantum entangled pair limited by the speed of light? If the answer to this is no it is possible that quantum entangled perturbations are traveling through a higher dimension. If that is the case then what would happen if you introduce perturbations of very specific frequencies? Is there a frequency that disturbs higher dimensions in a way to achieve weird effects? For example, what if you setup something like a Stargate-type portal, whose boundary is seeded with 1/2 quantum entangled pairs. You dislocate the second half into a similar arrangement at a distance. In my mind I thought of it like the spider web in The Last Mimsy, sort of: you have a series of higher-dimension strings suspended between the QE pair-halves. Then you introduce a sequence of disturbances/oscillations that would alter the fabric of the higher dimension - tuning them into a channel. This is all hypothetical, mind you. We saw in Interstellar the concept of gravity not being affected by space-time restrictions. I have often wondered what would happen to the outer planets if you suddenly removed the sun from the center of the solar system. Would Neptune lose its orbit instantaneously or does the loss of gravity travel at the speed of light? They are all interesting questions. Anyway let me know what you guys think.
