A thought for all the medical staff at the front-lines of the outbreak... Ebola is not very contagious, but it is extremely deadly. The virus is transmitted by contact with the bodily fluids of an infected person. Symptoms occur 8 to 10 days after infection (but can take up to 21 days). What are those symptoms? Extreme vomiting, diarrhea and high fever. And all of that puts the people who care for Ebola patients at risk of exposure.
