A thought occurred to me ... South Korea occupies something of a middle position between a developing and a developed nation. Pope Francis visit there might have sent the message that (1) the social doctrine of global Catholicism can constitute one path out of poverty and into the community of developed nations and (2) inclusivity of developing nations can be richly rewarding for developed nations. Thoughts?
