A true community project A representative team from Six Senses Laamu visited the Maamendhoo School to see the progress of the building of the prayer room. Until now the walls have been raised and the works on the roof will commence right after. Our Engineering Team has provided the manpower and the expertise for the construction and building materials have been generously donated by two of our contractors. The local community has always been appreciative of our contribution to their society. In order to show their gratitude to the hard working team on site, the teachers of the school offer the hosts tea twice a day and the parents of the students prepare lunch for them every day. Six Senses Vice President of Sustainability, Amber Beard, joined the team on the school grounds and said This is a fantastic initiative of which I am very proud of our Six Senses Laamu team! It is supportive of our commitment to sustainability through local community development. A community in which are honored to be a member of. Truly looking forward to completion of the prayer room and sharing it with you.
