A turbulent year for Sikhs. From revelations of UK collusion with India during the 1984 massacre at Harimander Sahib to multiple blasphemous attacks on Gurbani and the current struggle to release Sikh prisoners of thought crystalized by Bhai Gurbaksh Singh. No one can tell us that Sikhs and Panjab are now at peace and thriving in India. Find it difficult to wish a Happy New Year while a Sikh sits on deaths doorstep. Just hope the Khalsa finds its feet pretty damn soon instead of being a shadow of the regal, sovereign, saint warriors that Guru Maharaj created. In 2015 we must vow to stop investing in bricks for Gurughars and invest in the character of our youth. Instead of battling each other over maryadha and jathebandis, we must vow to tackle muslim groomers who prey on our sisters/daughters and the system of India that is grinding us on a daily basis. We are not built to be intimidated, controlled or destroyed but we face grave challenges. If jathedars cant step up then they must step down. However each one of us must become our own Jathedar and command a position to tackle any of the multiple issues that we face.
