A vacancy has arisen for a Test & Installation Engineer within our Surface Analysis Test Group Job Responsibilities Responsible to the Surface Analysis Test Supervisor for: • System integration and test of instruments to plan • On customer site installation of instruments to plan • Pre-test of new and repaired sub-assemblies • Following product specific procedures and completing quality and business records • Problem and failure reporting, supporting continuous improvement initiatives Job Requirements • The ideal candidate will have a scientific / engineering background both in education and work experience. • Excellent problem solving skills. • Good communication skills are required at all levels. • Knowledge of techniques such as x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and the ability to demonstrate a background in scientific instrumentation would be a distinct advantage. • Strong Customer Service skills essential • Training experience desirable Considerations World-wide travel for extended periods is a key aspect of the role, so candidates must demonstrate their customer interfacing skills and working abroad under a variety of pressures If you think you have skills and experience that would benefit Kratos we would like to hear from you.
