A vegetable vendor walked in the house. She is 75 years young at the least and asked for my mother. I told her that she has gone to the bank. I asked her why did she wanted to meet my mother. She wanted to sell some bean leaves. So I ended up buying two packs of green bean leaves carefully wrapped in banana leaves for Rs.20. It was then that she started interrogating and lecturing to me about life, marriage. She asked as to whether I am married or single when I said no, not yet. She almost went ballistic and wanted to know why, and why not, and this and that, and that and that and went on to tell me how short life and why if and why this and why did I not and that and that. Wow, amazing that each of the people here are giving such free advices and concern for the welfare of others.Seems everyone here is a counsellor, adviser and mentor to others.
