A very big thank you to Brian for the invite yesterday to witness the arrivial of Sea Vixen FAW2 G-Cvix Foxy Lady to her new home; RNAS Yeovilton. Although quite a long day, we arrived just after 0800, it was worth the wait for several reasons. 1) I actually saw Brian in work uniform ! 2) Had lunch in the SHAR Dinner with Mark. Great Friday brunch :] 3) Johnathon Flapjack Whaley threw the Sea Vixen around with great panache. But the highlight of the year for me was being greeted by the living legend himself; Captain Eric Winkle Brown, with the words hello Lewis, nice to see you again ! Christ, I was shocked he remembered my name. :] Quote of the day was from Lt Cdr Christopher Gotke when talking about his crash landing at RNAS Culdrose. He ended by saying; and the buggers didnt even give me the best display award! :] Roll on Tuesday !!
