A very dedicated GEJ lover made a post here, condemning the presidents rally in Kano just a day after the Abuja bombing. He said the president was gradually losing his support on that account. Let me add that hes a student of Public Relations, and probably understands mass psychology. Here is what a commentator said: Bomb blast occured on monday morning and he went for rally yesterday (Tuesday). He even cancelled a visit to ibadan. Another, on a different thread, said: So the president should have stayed in Abuja, and mourned the victims of the blast. He should have declared three days of mourning, and sprinkled himself with ashes on national tv, so that Nigerians would see he is mourning. Or maybe he should commit suicide, so that Nigerians can have rest. Its easy to say he went for a birthday bash and all that, but let me ask you. So Jonathan has never been to a birthday bash before? Or theyd prepare the best food he has ever tasted there? He clearly went there for political reasons and thats what a president does when the country is in crisis. You reach out to the traditional rulers. I find the commentaries online condemning his visit to Kano and Ibadan, totally preposterous, to say the least. *Let me reserve my take on this, let us analyse these two comments.*
