A very good Monday morning to all blessed Gods people. I was humbled and inspired by the response my first film attempt as a writer, director and producer received last week (27 March 2014) at the University of Zimbabwe Beit Hall courtesy of a collaboration with the UZ Theatre Arts Department. A big THANK YOU to the Lord Almighty God for planning this project and using us to put it to life, make names for ourselves and glorify the NAME above all NAMES. I would like to thank everyone who was involved in this project directly or indirectly and specifically: my Associate Producers, Jingn James Mukwindidza and Everson Ndlovu, Technical Director Marian Kunonga, Cinematographer James Jemwa, Sound and Production design Wilfred Chidyausiku, Make up & wardorobe Florence Gambe, Editor Kudakwashe Masoka, gripps Gregory Shambare and trainees Rutendo Phiri and Terence Munyoro. I also want to thank super star music icon Oliver Mtukudzi, upcoming versatile musician Brezhnev Guveya and promising MSU musicology graduate Sithabile Mahubaba for allowing me to use their songs in this film not forgetting the Culture Fund of Zimbabwe Trust for giving us equipment, Mr William Ndinde of NACZ Harare province, Management & Staff of Norwebs Pvt Ltd and the Village Head of Zvimba East. Special Thanks also go to Mr David Mutambara the National Aids Council Board Chair and Zimbabwe Business Council on HIV/AIDS director who was the guest of honour and all the company and organisational representatives, journalists, students, fellow artists, friends and relatives who attended the launch on this very special day (World Theatre Day) which saw us launching this cinematographical and theatrical fusion which has had over 400 performances as a stage play helping CBZ win the ZNCC Best Social Corporate Responsibility – HIV/AIDS Award and promoting VMMC in workplaces courtesy of PSI Zimbabwe. Most importantly, I would want to thank my technical assistant for the event Hillary Machanzi, my good friend event manager Chido Musasiwa for having alternative power on standby, production manager Rutendo Phiri, MC Gideon Wabvuta and all the UZ Theatre students who helped in making this memorable day a success not forgetting everyone who supported this project in one way or the other.
