A very interesting discovery which will have quite an impact on the success rates of corneal grafts. Corneal grafts are very successful due to low rejection rate. This is primarily due to the fact that the human cornea does not have a blood supply and gets its oxygen directly from the air. So less rejection due to the inability of antibodies to attack and reject. However, some grafts are not successful and this discovery should reduce these problems. Something to watch as more is learnt. Interesting!
