A very simple simple message The U.S perspective of the origin of the Afro... When I make posts about loving it when ppl embrace their natural hair, what I mean is having the awareness and knowing that it IS beautiful.. EVEN IF YOU DONT WEAR IT! Its the AWARENESS that is important in order for us to move pass these old barriers of what the general standard of beauty is for women of color to prove that there is NO GENERAL standard in the first place. So if youre weaved up, permed up etc.. This message isnt to tell you that you hate yourself or that you dont think you are naturally beautiful.. Its to simply say ITS OK if you choose to be natural... Youre beautiful either way you choose! Take the time out to watch this 57 second video...
