A victory for our patient Asher! Take a look - for the very first time, he’s standing, bearing weight on his legs. Asher is almost 2 years old and has a rare neuromuscular disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) which makes movements like crawling, standing and even swallowing and breathing really tough. That’s why a milestone like this one fills his family with so much hope. Asher is part of ongoing clinical trial at Nemours that is looking for ways to treat SMA. Go Asher go!
