A video of coral and sponge life. Life is miraculous. Miraculous and fragile. Anyone who has welcomed a baby into the world knows this. And all of life is equally fragile, and all of it is interconnected. In our industriousness to get our own needs met we seem to have forgotten this. Our industries are damaging the very life forms that support ours. Millions of cubic metres of sea floor are being dredged up from the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area to make way for massive new coal seam gas export facilities. Its the largest dredging project ever undertaken in Australia, and one that has the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) so alarmed theyre warning the Reef may lose its iconic world heritage status.
