A volunteer with the Ouachita Parish Animal Shelter proposes an idea of building a new shelter at the OPPJ meeting. The current building (an outdoor shelter) dates back to the 1950s and is falling apart. Volunteers say they are also struggling to keep the animals warm in the winter, among other issues with rats/mice. What do you think about a new, indoor shelter being built within the next 3 years?
