A warm and dry stretch of weather as we head into the work week, as well as the following weekend and even early next week. A blocking pattern in the upper atmosphere means the weather isnt going to change quickly. And the pattern we are under will keep the area dry and warm. The hottest part of the week looks to come by Thursday and Friday when temperatures could top out at 90° for the first time this year at MSY. Highs today in the low to mid 80s and overnight lows in the 60s. Humidity will also be on the rise, but with an upper high over the region, showers just cannot get going.
