A warm /hot clear day...got a wee bit chilly while sleeping last night despite lots of blankets, flannel sleeping bag, and Louie! Will rearrange tonight and see if I can stay warmer!! Rode for hours along lava fields, streams, burned out forrest, and wooded areas. Quite a potpourri of topography and Memphis did me proud on many obstacles like logs, and lava. Best part of the day was a surprise dinner visit from Sprague and Natalia and the grand-doggers!! We feasted on fried chicken, tater salad and carrot cake !!! Awesome! What sweethearts they are!! Bet I sleep great tonight. Pic is of trail today and campground/kitchen.
