A warning for anyone considering studying Audio at SAE in East - TopicsExpress

A warning for anyone considering studying Audio at SAE in East Perth - Although the lecturers and technical staff are marvelous, the campus is clearly intentionally underfunded (by parent company Navitas) to the point where I no longer wish to attend. I have only two months left until I graduate and I can accomplish the remainder of my work from home, but thats not fair considering the $40,000+ cost. Issues of significance include: - Limited time to record drum kit (unlike the other campuses) - Worse separation between rooms than most rehearsal studios - Shorter opening hours than other campuses - Rundown equipment ruining whole bookings after hours of setup (some of this should have been decomissioned years ago) - WiFi non-existent in half the classrooms - Male toilets on one floor are filthy and out of sanitary supplies for months (one lecturer even complained to me about this recently!) - holding Open Days for prospective students during school hours, towards the end of trimester, when assignments are due and bookings are hardest to find (particularly insulting behaviour, Navitas!) For the most part Ive enjoyed these past two years without the burden of a day job (Im on track to top my class too) but it is clear that this campus is a cash cow for the east coast campuses and/or Navitas shareholder dividends. Enrol at your own peril.
