A week ago I went out on the deck after dark to bring the bird feeders in and ran into two raccoons trying to reach through the railings to get the seeds. They were not happy! One jumped off the deck, the other took off down the stairs and tumbled the last 5 or 6 steps. Both ended up under the pool deck chattering at me. Well evidently they put hit out on my hippo. Went to put the feeders out a couple of mornings later and the hippo was on the deck, dead! Time to go to the mattresses!!
