A wingsuit skydiver lands on water. Without using a parachute. This is a first. Using water is an obvious solution, but only in hindsight. It took me by complete surprise. And still takes *lots* of guts to do this, especially the first time. I predict lots of copycats; this might become a rite of passage and a mark of a master to many. And once you have succeeded a few times, you may start leaving the parachute at home. AND... it will provide a reasonably safe method to practice the landing part until someone becomes confident enough to try landing on, well, land.
