A year ago today I had every emotion going through my body as I prepared myself for surgery. With the support of some but not all family and friends I chose to have weight loss surgery. I will say it was the best decision I have ever made. I want to thank my amazing husband Brad Black for always supporting me and helping me through the ups and downs the past year. I could not have done it without your help, love and support!! I also want to thank the best Zumba instructor ever Colleen Rebert and my zumba friends that helped push me to become someone I knew I wanted to be. The past year I not only met my 100 lb weight loss goal but I also challenged myself to run a 5K so I ran two in the last year. The past year has taught me it is not about what you think you can do it is about what you try to do and if you fail you keep trying until you achieve your goal. The other day I went shopping and I bought a tank top that said exactly how I feel right now about my weight loss journey You Never Know Until You Try But the best part of my day was when my husband told me he was proud of me because I worked my butt off this last year!
