A year ago today my dad, myself, some family, and some friends gathered at Freodtert early in the morning while my mom prepared for yet another brain surgery (to put stents in in hopes to stop the aneurysm from growing/ rerupturing because it was continuing to grow after the initial rupture in June 2012)... Although we had time to mentally prepare for this surgery (whereas the first surgery was not planned as it occured out of no where and almost took her life in a matter of minutes)... it was still very nerve wracking. I am so thankful to have such a fabulous mother who has stayed so positive and strong throughout it ALL! Lots has gone on in the last two years and I know I tend to keep to myself and kind of quiet during those times but I hope all my mom, dad, family, friends, co workers, and the medical staff know how much I love and appreciate you all!!
